Does Russ Make the Kings the Favorites to Win It All?

I don't think many teams will be able to overcome the triple threat of DeRozan, LaVine and Westbrook. I'm hoping they trade Keegan for Kuzma because I believe that would truly make them unstoppable. Is there a better (unofficial) GM in the league than Vivek?

1/10 troll. Could have maybe been a 3-4 if you excluded all this, but poor work regardless.

Not the favorites to even make the play offs
Not the favorites to win the NBA draft

They are stuck in a terrible spot right now

Russ makes the Kings the favorites to win the Play-in, maybe.

Still a trade away imo.

Need someone like Poole with championship pedigree and legacy confirmed.

i cant believe how quick they went from exciting and promising team to this clownfiesta lol
just the fact, that they went and got both DeRozan and Lavine like they did anything together in Chicago, while losing 2 very good PGs basically for nothing

People making laugh at OP didn't really read and process it properly.
Good job, Bad Bart. I opened the thread with an intent to and1 every oneliner thrown at you - but in the end you outperfomed everyone here.
The only miss is that you forgot Dennis Schroder - that's another cornerstone of this Eurocap contender.

What about their center rotation? Marvin Bagley and Moses Brown should be enough to dominate the West - both should be cheap (or as Vivek calls it - two FRPs).

In a way this is poetic.

You have a team that will most likely fight for a play in spot with a starting lineup that consists of a player who won MVP with a stat line nobody was able to achieve since the 60s, a player that has a solid argument to be the greatest all time player of a title winning franchise, a player that is leading the league in rebounds for 3 seasons in a row now and got MVP votes in 2 of them, a player that has averaged at least 23 points in 6 of his last 7 seasons, and a player that simultaneously was the MVP on a Gold Medal World Cup and a European Cup national team.

Really feels like Ben Simmons is the missing piece of the puzzle now as 6th man.

When this thread gets bumped after Keon Ellis raises the trophy, I want to be on the front page saying I told you so.

I truly hope the kings make the play-in, and then unexpectantly crush the dreams of OPs team. Then I hope they upset whoever in the first round just to crush the dreams of a second team, just in case.
