Who is currently the better player: Shai or Giannis?

Giannis for sure.

This isn't even remotely close and it's clear as day if you watch them head to head. Giannis is so clearly a level above the highest heights Shai has ever achieved and draws SOOOOOOO much more defensive attention than Shai and has substantially more offensive gravity. There are zero NBA teams who even consider single covering Giannis in even regular season games, SGA gets left on an island 1on1 with perimeter defenders.

I was watching the OKC-MIL highlights from the other night and had the same thought.

Giannis should be ranked #2 player in the league, it's not close.

Better question is who is the best player of the world? Jokic or the Greek Freak? At least this one is debatable

The Shai disrespect is ridiculous.

Giannis is a glitch in the matrix right now, he's approaching early Shaq levels. Not a fair comparison physically.

I was starting to think I was in the minority still out all those 3 above SGA.

For me, SGA needs to have a dominant year and one of those guys need to take a dip for him to crack the top 3 but all 3 of those dudes reached a higher level of play, imo, including Luka l, despite being ringless.

Depends if you want the guy that is efficient and wins games?
Or the guys who look dominant?

Giannis has more "gravity" and dominates games in ways SGA doesn't. If every player suddenly became a FA and teams had to draft players to win in the next 3 years, I don't think you'd get many GMs who would take SGA over Giannis, Joker, Luka, and possibly Wemby.

That said, SGA is incredible. I find his game to be underwhelming but it seems impossible to stop the guy from getting 30/night at impressive %s. His output is prodigious and he's such a crafty player. He's like prime Harden, but from mid-range, with splashes of Steph Curry's ball-handling.
