He has some real mental problems lately. Hopefully, he gets help. Not making excuses for him assaulting her, but he had a suicide attempt a few years back, iirc.

I'm not asking for it to be the #1 topic. But a former NBA player domestic violence should be noted by ESPN. We need to hold clowns like this accountable.

If he wanted more sympathy, he should have worn a shirt. He looks like a crackhead.

All that said, I'd like more details about this before I condemn the man too much. The article alleges that he he "pushed her to the ground and assaulted her", and that there was "bruisings on her arms". There's a difference between a single altercation where a man pushes a woman hard enough that she loses balance and falls down, versus routinely beating a woman to a pulp and forcing her to live a life of fear and torture.

Nobody is claiming domestic violence is "right". Singler is a nobody at this point though. He's had 1 mention on the espn site in the last 8 years and that was only because other NBA player were commenting because they thought he was going to kill himself.

Judging from the videos I've seen from him over the past 2 years, Kyle Singler is paranoid schizophrenic or something similar to that (I'm not a mental health professional).

Nothing excuses assault. No matter what state you're in, you're accountable for your own actions.

I hope he's able to get care, though. I hope he gets to a place where he can live a reasonable life without being a threat to himself and others. I have all kinds of empathy for anyone living with any kind of mental illness this severe. It's probably hell to be Kyle Singler, and hell for his family and loved ones.
