I'd like to see that. Pacers have never drafted #1 overall. They haven't even picked in the top-5 since 1988.

Would be cool to give Indy a chance to land another star talent to put next to Hali and Siakam.

It was already worth consideration with Hali out for the year. The path forward for this season already looks clear with the 0-3 start and the injuries

Hoping they can get at least a top3 pick, but landing Dybantsa would be the perfect fit it seems, or at least getting Cenac to fill the center position going forward wouldnt be bad

Shutdown Siakam, Mathurin and Nembhard for the season and re-group next year.

I hate tanking and I hate it even more that fans are talking about tanking 4 games into the season.

Been seeing Nets fans talk about it too. Shameful

if there was a year to tank it's this one. Dybantsa, Peterson, Boozer. Top of the class is elite.

Agreed, and its not like tanking and getting top picks is so amazing, I mean, the charlotte hornets have been tanking since they rejoined the league as the Bobcats and still have 0 playoff series wins after all that losing.

i could definitely see the Pacers and Celtics changing paths to tanking as early as mid November.
We all knew this was a gap year for both teams, i guess they wanted to see what they had before fully committing to the tank

It depends on the draft (and lottery luck obviously). The Spurs tanked for 1 season and now their future is set.

If they pull a spurs/duncan situation they can pretty much contend for Finals/ECF every year after this season.

If they are going to pack it in for this year in then they might as well trade Siakam. And TJ

Some fanbases lack pride in winning/competition. The prefer to roll over at the first sign of adversity.

Well, i think it's a bit of hyperbole.

The Pacers currently have 9 players out with injuries.

Boston and Indiana are going to end up with Dybansta and Peterson, setting them up get right back to the ECF in 2027.

Honestly I wish we do that. We absolutely need Peterson, Dybantsa or Boozer to save us.
