Luka will need to adapt to coming off the bench.

No, he's a 2nd team all NBA player still until proven otherwise

Don't over think it.

LeBron is one of those special players that can impact the game when he is not even playing. LeBron is a legendary hardworker as we all know. Not many work harder than him. He demands excellence out of his teammates. He sets the example for his teammates, and they follow his lead.

The guy is also a basketball savant. You know he is writing up plays and scheming with JJ. The team uses those plays. When he's not suited up, he's on the sidelines coaching the guys and boosting morale. He's got that much respect from the players and coaches that he can do that.

That stuff alone is worth its weight in gold. While he hasn't even played yet - we know his intangibles make the team better. And once he gets back to the lineup YOU KNOW they'll be even better.

This team will be filthy when His Highness, King James returns.

Reaves/Smart/Luka/Rui/LeBron with Laravia and Vincent as backups is a killer switch everything lineup IMO, they don't have the perimeter defense or rim protection to contend with traditional lineups, small ball will be their only hope.

LeBron and Doncic are not a good fit, both extremely ball-dominant by nature (no matter how much people say LeBron can adapt) and Reaves has more freedom without LeBron too.
Peak LeBron had good enough chemistry with Wade, but Slower LeBron with Doncic is a bridge too far.

Well, LeBron is still in the locker room, he's not outside of the team.

Reaves has made an all-star leap this season, so they're very good, with LeBron - they'll be great. Lakers also have cheap and quality role players with Smart, LaRavia and Ayton so far. Probably the biggest chance for them to make 'something' in the West since 2023.

But Reaves won't be doing much with LeBron in the line-up. Too many chefs in the kitchen :D
So if they could trade LeBron for a couple of killer defenders, they'd have a much better chance of beating OKC, Minnesota and Houston in the playoffs.

He is there on a bench. THat said, he will have to adapt to being off ball player, because I do not see how Lakers get better if you take ball from Reaves and Luka. Someone said he should try being their own Draymond, which would be awesome, but is that happening? Even on team USA with 11 other future hall of famers, he was still number one point guard there.

The only reason the the Lakers are doing well is is because he's allowed them to play without him.

I been saying this for the past few years even before luka. Media outlets and some fans having him as a top 10 player is insanity. If he somehow makes the allstar team this year(just bc of his name) it's a bigger insanity and travesty. He should have already been phased out of the league like they did Melo but the nba and media been trying hard to squeeze one last attempt to milk the goat debate when thats already been put to rest.

You mean when he ditches his teammates to stay in LA and attend a baseball game?

Or when he ditches his teammates in the middle of the season with no explanation and even his coach doesn't know when he would come back to the team?

What an excellent teammate
