If he can cook something up for Wemby tonight he will be the early frontrunner for Coach of the Year

Lakers got beat by Minnesota in the 1st rd despite being the favorites.
I'm not buying any Lakers stock until they actually win a playoff series.

Okay maybe this thread wasn’t a bad idea. JJ really did a fantastic job game planning on Wemby. Legitimately incredible job.
JJ is an excellent coach.

If Lakers can beat OKC, I will agree 100% all comes down to this, I don't care about eastern teams until the finals

Gotta make your bones in the playoffs, where he looked completely overwhelmed last season. Give him the stupid award. It's meaningless. He needs to do it in the postseason.

Lakers didn't have a Center. Their was literally nothing they could do when their last line of defense Jaxon freaking Hayes. And that doesn't even include the injuries their stars played through.
The team no longer has that problem at Center with Ayton now.
