So should defenders sticking their head in offensive player's entitled space. 9 out of 10 elbows to the head/face that get called flagrants in the NBA are the result of defenders violating the offensive player's vertical cylinder of space and sticking their face in it where there is literally no option but to make contact. Those elbows to the head should either be noncalls or in some cases called as defensive fouls.

This also greatly contributes to a large number of blatant flops that get incorrectly called where the refs whistle the offensive player for "making contact to the head of the defender" but literally nothing occurred except the defender was sticking his face close and flinched and then intentionally fell down. This play is so easy to legislate out of the game.
