At least the Pelicans have drafted CP3, AD, Zion. They have had some bad luck but they have assembled some semi passable rosters that never quite took that next step. Go look at Charlotte's draft history and scroll for a while, it reads as nothing but sadness:

It's objectively the Kings. Have made the playoffs once in the past 20 years. In that same time frame the Hornets, who are currently, laughably, winning this poll, have made it three times. The Wizards have made it 7 times and actually won a few series. Pelicans have made it 7 times and won a couple of series. Jazz have made it 11 times and won multiple series. And going forward, let me ask you this...who are you more excited to watch right now? Who has promise with a roster full of good/great young talent? Who has pieces they can move to try and make a playoff push? If you could be gifted one of these franchises with your life depending on making the most playoffs over the next decade who are you choosing?

I mean, does Sacramento still come with Vivek, or is it MY team? Ranadive is the biggest problem with that ishtshow.

I always suspected that New Orleans got a couple of "gifts" in the draft, same with Cleveland. With what happened this year I wouldn't at all be surprised if something was rigged for them with the AD and Zion drafts.

Lakers were named for all the lakes in Minnesota. But there aren't a lot of lakes in LA.
Clippers are named for ships, and LA has a major harbor.

I feel sad for Kings fans given their franchise's historical ineptitude and then finally a season of hope a couple of years ago, only to be dashed and now again mired in mediocrity. Unfortunately it starts at the top and Vivek is a terrible owner, and the guys he hires aren't much better. Hoping they see the light soon and embark on yet another rebuild. Doubt it happens though.
