OT: Steven A. Smith promoting some (allegedly) shady gambling/game

Post#1 » by BruttoNostra » Sun Nov 9, 2025 9:57 am

So apparently Steven A. Smith and bunch of other media people (including Perk) are promoting now some gambling venue disguised as a mobile game:

I know, everyone is promoting gambling these days, but the difference is this company allegedly created bots that make sure the "house" always wins.

PS: About that youtube channel - the guy focuses on frauds, crypto grifters and other scammers.
He has a long list of successful investigations, some of which reached the mainstream media and/or courts.
Just a quote from Wiki:

Findeisen (Coffeezilla's real name) was additionally active during the bankruptcy of FTX, interviewing FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried on three occasions and describing Bankman-Fried's responses during the last interview as an admission of fraud. In light of his involvement with investigating FTX in particular, The Washington Post credited Findeisen as one of the most powerful independent news sources when it comes to the cryptocurrency industry.[14][15]

His main channel is called Coffeezilla, and this is a secondary channel, with lesser topics and less production value.

Sorry for off topic: But is there a way to permanently turn off that terrible AI voice in your native language when watching youtube videos? Every day when I click on youtube videos on this forum, I have to switch to the original audio by hand. I don't know who came up with this idea to make this automatic. If I click on an English-language video, it means I understand English. Otherwise I wouldn't have clicked on it.

Will watch the video and it doesn't surprise me at all oif Stephen A is involved in some shady stuff.

Hm interestingly I had it the other way around. I had German Youtube adds being translated to English since I´m back here :D. For me it only happened in adds and I turned it of by just switching to the original language (1st option) in Audio track.

For me it always happens for the normal video and I always have to change the audio track with every new video. But it goes back to the AI voice with the next video.

But now I changed the standard language of my browser to English and it seems like that fixed the issue.

See if there is any help here:
https://support.google.com/youtube/thread/315965817?hl=en&msgid=317782441

And per some AI response:

For YouTube viewers
If you are a viewer, you cannot permanently turn off the AI voice for all videos you watch, but you can take the following steps:
- Change your YouTube interface language: Setting your interface to English can sometimes prevent the AI dubbing from activating, according to users on Reddit.
- Manually change the audio track: For each video, click the gear icon in the video player, select Audio track, and choose the original language.
- Use browser extensions: Some browser extensions can help with this, as mentioned in Google Help.
- Use a VPN: A VPN can be used to access a version of YouTube in a different language, say some Google Help threads.

Well that explains why Stephen A Smith is trying to distract from the FBI investigation, and was so focused on blaming Trump for the investigation, as if the NBA is an innocent victim being targeted... He even speculated that Trump is coming for the WNBA next :P
