Are Thunder winning 70 games?

12-1 and not even at full health. No J-Will and Chet has not even played much as well. Just decimated an 8-3 Lakers team with Luka.

Looks like they found another potential star in Ajay. Elite scouting, elite coaching, elite player development and of course they still have the best player in Shai who looks like he isn't slowing down anytime soon. 70 wins possible? Do the Curry Warriors have anything to worry about?

Boring answer, but it all comes down to Shai’s health. They absolutely could push for 70, hell they were only 2 games away last year, but with the grind of an NBA season and health/injury management it’s completely possible that SGA gets hurt or misses a month or so.

Talent and system wise they’re easily a 70 win team.

I don’t think they even have to worry about resting guys. They’re so loaded. Yes, I think they will win 70 games.

They're lowkey resting guys in game. Shai has already sat out 7 4th quarters this season.

Only getting better each season. Still own a swath of draft picks. Masterclass franchise.

They still haven't had Jalen Williams play yet

They are seriously, arguably, the most stacked team of all time from top to bottom

If injuries are minimal, they should match or surpass the '15-'16 GSW's 73 win season.

My immediate reflex always says no, but I can see it happening.

My initial thought was no lol but they actually won 68 games last season which I didn't even realize. Didn't even seem like they were trying to do that so 70 is definitely possible.

I don't think they will push for it though unless 73 is in sight and they get off to something like a 40-3 start or something lol

I just want to mention that the Thunder have played the Pacers, Mavericks, Kings x2, Wizards, Pelicans, Clippers, and Grizzlies this year. Those 7 teams have 17 wins combined.

So while they're very good, their SRS is also lower than last year-- which is understandable, missing their second-best player-- but maybe they aren't quite as far ahead of the league as it seems.

Who says they need to push for it? The starters are utterly dominant, and then the bench mob comes in and basically stops the other team from dribbling lol

They might win 70 without breaking a sweat

I am literally saying the same thing.

I do think they would need to push to beat 73 wins though.
