I'm not trying stir up hate, I 'm just trying to understand why Kobe Bryant has the most Negatives out of any so-called GOAT in top 15 discussion but get a free pass from fans when The Media and NBA created him to be the next Cash Cow to replace Michael Jordan.

Now name all the accolades and records he has and there is your answer. Hand selecting like 1/30th of his resume just to say he's overrated is misleading AF. Not even 1/30th.

I think Kobe was super overrated from around the early 2000s to mid 2010s (people earnestly had him in the GOAT debate, a laughable opinion) then when LeBron started winning, Kobe became properly rated, then he died and became overrated again, but now I think he may actually be underrated.

No one has more playoff wins against 50 win teams than him and he was a more efficient scorer than 7 foot contemporary Tim Duncan. Plus, he played in a deadball era, was more portable than he gets credit for and had superb longevity.

Issue with him would be the mediocre impact footprint compared to other top tier ATGs.

This is a myth perpetuated by fans. Kobe averaged ~30/5/5 in the playoffs on above league average efficiency between 07-10 culminating in 3 finals appearances and 2 championships.

He should've been more efficient as talented as he was, but he was not an inefficient scorer.

I think Kobe's high pressure redeem team Olympic gold medal match closer performance with LeBron, Durant etc. on the roster showed he has a better GOAT case skill wise than people want to admit. He just didn't have the overwhelming physical advantage of Jordan/Kareem/LeBron/Wilt types.

He was always overrated and when the going got tough he folded under pressure. Had 1 bad season after the shaq trade and was throwing everyone under the bus demanding to be traded. 1 bad season.

Yes, he was overrated and his aura is unmatched nowadays because he is a legend who passed away (rip). He was not even in people's top 10 lists until he died, and now all of a sudden he is mentioned in GOAT conversations a lot more than you think.
