Patrick Beverley arrested for Felony Assault

Ex-NBA player Patrick Beverley has been arrested in Texas for felony assault.
The 6'2" point guard was taken into custody on Friday at the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office in Richmond, Texas.
According to jail records, the charge against Beverley is Assault on a Family Member/Household Member Impeding Breath or Circulation. It's listed as a third-degree felony.
His bail was set at $40,000, which he posted. He's expected to be released later in the day.
Beverly -- and second-round draft pick -- is a well-known hooper who played for the Rockets, Clippers, Timberwolves, Lakers, Bulls, 76ers, and, most recently, the Bucks.

Im indifferent to Pat, but he always seemed a little off.

Good. It drives me nuts how the media was rewarding him for being an ass to other players. He should’ve been out of the league from the time of the Chris Paul shove. But the nba continued to treat him with kid gloves. Hopefully a real taste of punishment convinces him to get his life together.

He tried to act like Vernon Maxwell on court, but he didn't even come close to Mad Max's insanity (or talent as a player for that matter)
Hope his victim is okay, probably can now sue Pat Bev for millions

Yeah, that Chris Paul shove was one of the worst moments I've seen on an NBA court. Really immature and classless. If Beverley is guilty and needs to serve time, I just hope he gets the help he needs one way or another. Also hope the people around him are kept safe.

That Chris Paul shove was ridiculous. that could’ve easily ended Paul’s career, leaving him with life long neck/spine issues. Bev got a one game suspension for that shove.
I’ll never understand why the NBA is so soft on punishing their players. Absolutely nobody would bat an eye if Beverley was suspended for a year, or banned. He does nothing for the league.
