I think it's because the Bobcats can match the Celtics in athleticism and versatility - when they play up to their capabilities. Like the two games against Boston.

Lakers Bench = 42
Hornets Bench = 9 points

Thats a 33 point difference.

Lakers ended up winning by 29.

It's actually EASILY the best in the league. Tommy Heinsohn's job isn't to call the game for the fans on NBA league pass and not come off as a homer to the fans of other teams on realgm.com. He's calling the game locally for CELTICS FANS and he's far more entertaining than every other announcer I've heard on league pass.

Lakers are either legit or they're putting on one hell of an illusion.

Do you not get disgusted by the extreme homerism...i mean literally every call and foul he spins it off to favor the celts...and im not being sarcastic...he thinks every call should favor the celts

What's worse is then fan bases who learn to trust these announcers always think their team is getting screwed. Homerism leads to more homerism on a larger scale.

Last time I checked the Hornets bench scores the least points per game... Tonight's performance isn't going to help them

They are not legit. They are on the second tier and I am a Lakers fan.

We're not Dallas, SA, Phx, Det, or Boston. We're probably the next best team though.

No, I don't at all. It's not like I'm listening on the radio and am looking for an honest assessment of what is going on: I can see the game and draw my own conclusions.

I'd much rather have a homer announcer who I find entertaining and controversial than someone who calls the game exactly how I see it or goes out of their way to not be a homer, like quite a few announcers do.

You're lieing to yourself. I know you're like the rest of us you just turn the volume all the way down. That's the only logical explanation. Next I want you to explain to me Paul Pierce's shooting performance, was it because he missed easy shots time and time again and just wasn't getting calls?

I think Bynum is averging like 80% FG and putting up near 20 points games in 28~30 minutes. Once again Mitch gets the last laugh.

Lakers are legit in another year. They're still young, but showing extreme promise . And IMO, they're top 3 team in the west. Only teams that are still at a higher level than the Lakers are the Celtics, Pistons, Spurs. Lakers can handle the Suns, Dallas, etc. This game tonight just exemplified their toughness on the ROAD which they lacked last year. They've blown out three teams in a row.

Boston and SAS are the two we have no shot at.

PHX and Dallas? Oh please.

Detroit is iffy. Simply because I haven't seen either team play with a healthy rosters yet.

Lakers are hot right now like Portland is hot right now... Playing above what they are expected due to youth... only time will tell if the youth are really as good as they are showing right now or if they will cool down.
Sasha Vujacic = The Phail Machine = The Ring Blocker

Trade Sasha before he ruins the Lakers next season.

I actually believe that the Lakers are legit and the Blazers are not. The Lakers team is basically: Fisher + Kobe + Odom + Bynum

The rest is all just sprinkles on the top. For the most part Bynum has been playing well because Kobe sets him up so well around the basket, I can't see them slowing down, and if for some reason they do Kobe will just take it to another level, no one on the Blazers can do that...

1-9 from 3 point land. He was just chucking 3's instead of driving.

I think the Lake Show a legit top team in the west and the league - just don't run into injuries...

Elite team? No. Not that established yet. Can't really say they are, either.

Pierce missed because of two things: Charlotte played good D on him and his jumper was way off tonight.

See, I don't need my announcer to be perfectly unbiased and can draw my own conclusions of what happened in a game. Unlike some, who apparently need Tommy Heinsohn to be fair in order to watch a Celtics game.

Slanting toward the home team is expected from the local play by play team. Outright lying, exaggerating, being a cheerleader has no place in professional sports commentating.

But then maybe Tommy's audience likes getting lied to. It's like a woman who asks her husband if she looks fat and she weighs 250lbs........
I'm so tired of the typical......

Suckson goes overboard consistently. Suckson is fun to say, too. Sometimes I'm alright with him, though.
