The world disagrees with you. For example, Vancouver and Toronto routinely finish in the top 5-10 places to live thingies. NYC isn't ever close, as I recall.
But within America itself, I would say S.F. has the best rep.
I used to live in NYC. It's very good and very bad. All in all it's a better place to visit than live in a long-term sense. Much as I enjoyed it, there are few places I would less want to raise my kids.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.

A couple complaints I've heard in the past about the contest:
1) Too many "nobodys"
2) People want superstars
So, what if they did some sort of tournament-style contest with 2 youngins and 2 superstars.
Put them in a bracket like this
Superstar A vs. Superstar B
Youngin A vs Youngin B
That way there would be 1 star and one youngin in the finals.
Or is this all a bad idea?

LOL @ anyone defending New York City and their 9-25 record which comes 2 years after their Larry Brown season of 23 wins. Isn't anyone forgetting that they are #30 in the power rankings, LOL!!
The city of New York has opened itself to the most harshest insults due to the massive ineptitude that they have unleashed to the NBA. Look at them and their record and their contracts, they do EVERYTHING wrong. Their players are immovable because their value plummets with their poor play plus they have large grandiose contracts. Basically, they are stuck and they have a future pick to give up, LOL.
And that is just what happens when you let a New York Knick infiltrate his way into All-Star weekend. In classic Knick incompetence, you witness 408285 attempts at a slam dunk only for the final result to be a completely plain dunk despite all of the attempts and lenient chances in the world. And the only reason he won on that other year was for the same reason Candace Parker won in high school, which is that they were both novelty acts that were going to win no matter what.
I'm glad Nate Robinson will be staying home rather than in the festive, lively atmosphere of All-Star weekend.
Same goes for all of the New York CBA players, LOL.
