I think you should be creating a new thread and not rehashing threads from 12 years ago. None of the previous 5 pages is relevant to today's teams' chances, and will just get people derailed and talking about the 2008 season.

what if,,,,,,

the lakers have this new reservoir of urgency and determination to "win one for kobe"

and what if the la based clippers have the same determination, seeing as how they're ALL close to kobe or grew up idolizing him.

and what if all the laker opponents know the lakers will have a renewed sense of purpose so they TOO play with urgency.
and since almost all the players here and around the world seems to have been influenced by mamba mentality, what if ALL the nba teams now start playing with that same mambaness and especially against the lakers.

what if the lakers go into every game feeling "win it for kobe" and every opponent they face are thinking "play hard for kobe"

wouldn't that be something!!!!!!! and could this be the end of tanking.
