the lakers are seriously bieng underatting by every1 and bieng overrated by a vast number of laker homers(including me sometimes) but hey u have to balance it out

there 3rd in the west 1 game behind phx, and can go anywhere for 1st to 6th by the end of the year,

that is a destructive team, well balanced offensively defensively, no weak points that can bew exploiteds easily

The Lakers are 1 game behind first place, and having Caron Butler would easily give them an extra game, so yes they would likely be the best team in the west as of now.
But as for the playoffs, I don't think the Lakers can knock off the Spurs. Besides the Spurs, I don't see the Lakers losing to any other team in a 7 game series. They beat the Suns twice by 20 points, beat the Rockets (Yes, I know they lost the first game but the lost was only by a couple of points), Denver also beat them twice by double digits, etc.
If the Lakers haven't beaten the WEstern Conference team they were probably pretty damn close and i just don't see them screwing up 4 times in a series.
