Dwight can do whatever he wants. He's a GROWN man. But he's definitely no AC Green. That guy held out till he was 33.

I guess he couldn't become the 21st century A.C. Green.

Dwight, welcome to the dark side...

Isn't he a devout Cristian, in which the religion speaks so highly of waiting to be married before having any sexual relations?

:nonono: @ Dwight.

If I were to get an invite to the dunk contest, I would slam the rock home while posting a sticker with Dwights picture on it reading "though shall not have bastard children out of wedlock" on the backboard. Burn!

Depends on what kind of Christian you are. Some sects I'm sure you can have sex.

And what branch of Christianity allows fathering a child with an unmarried woman?

I dont know what ur talking about, when is the last you have heard Dwight talking about religion? Either way he is an adult and capable of making his own decision. He is still a good guy regardless.

I was just about to pose this....

The 3 monotheistic religions (Islam, Christianity, & Judaism) view sexual relations before marriage as sin, no other way around it.

In today's world this isn't a big deal, but considering the person Dwight is, it will definitely be made a big deal, as we're seeing already on this very forum.....

I said sex. I didn't say fathering a child. And I can't do a search for it cuz I'm at work.

While I am very surprised and a little disappointed, I am in no way in position to judge his actions.

I hope they do get married and she's not a golddigger.

What he did is one of the worst sins there is: sex out of wedlock.

That was the point.

You're painting with rather broad brush strokes. There are many Christian denominations that don't specifically state premarital sex as a sin, but rather leave it up to the individual in their personal faith to make the decision after consulting with various sources. And speaking from a biblical standpoint, there is very little to nothing in the text that actually condemns premarital sex. Adultery, lust and promiscuity are all specifically addressed, but premarital sex is only warned against, with suggestions that there are better ways.

Also, and perhaps the most important point, is that no one is perfect, and anyone who lives with a spiritual faith at the core of their being acknowledges and respects that. Being a devout Christian and having a child out of wedlock aren't mutually exclusive. This says nothing either way about the man's faith. New life is a gift, simple as that.

Spot on, and to add to that....religion, overall, speaks highly of forgiveness.

So, if he did in fact make a mistake, learn from it and repent for it and move on.
