I'm really enjoying van gundy's two cents while watching games on espn this season. He offers some unique insight and has what seems to be a good sense of humor. He's quickly becoming one of my favorites, hopefully we don't lose him to a coaching job.

He actually cares about the Bucks and gives criticisms and praise to our players. A+ from me.

I like him. He really knows his defensive stuff and he points out great defensive fundamentals.

Yeah, he has a great basketball mind (especially on the defensive end) and a surprising sense of humor. Really one of the best commentators out there.

Yea, I felt he spoke the truth when he said how Kobe scoring 16 first quarter points left everyone inactive and just watching, therefore causing our sucky 2nd quarter.

Yeah I like how he doesn't sugar coat things or give political answers

Hes extremely objective and very positive (both of which are very important if you are a national commentator) and knows a lot about basketball (not so important for national commentary).

However, I would still take Bill Walton in a heartbeat because he is also positive as hell and cracks me up. even if he doesnt know **** about basketball any more.

I really like him when he talks. Marc Jackson on the other hand....

My favorite part about his commentating is when he straight up says "Thats not a foul! He flopped!"....

As someone said, he doesn't sugar coat things and you know he means what he says.

I hope he doesn't get another coaching job, just so I can hear him commentate.

ESPN needs all the help it can get when it comes to NBA presentation.

If the Bucks were smart they would fire LK on the spot and hire JVG. He was 100% correct on everything basketball related tonight. Not so right when explaining the Mo Williams contractual issues this offseason.

Van Gundy is probably my 2nd favorite analyst behind Hubie Brown. Always speaks his mind, and has a good sense of humor as well. I especially like it when he and Marc Jackson diss each other in the booth, always gives me a laugh.

Van Gundy is an excellent commentator. He always looked super serious when he coached, so the sense of humor was a bit of a surprise to me. Excellent knowledge of the game (obviously) and objective. ESPN did very well to hire this guy. He's been great.

Don't worry. When Flips fails again to get the Pistons to the Finals JVG will swoop in and coach em up.

Hopefully he doesn't coach again as he is the best ESPN/ABC has by far.

His insight, unbiased opinion, and humor is wonderful.

You know what was great about the Bucks game. If that was any other commentator we would have recieved a 2 hour love fest b/t Breen, other Commentator and Kobe about a player fighting through illness. I like how VAn Gundy took the fan perspective and said "give me a break.

Also his analysis of Milwaukee was spot on Breen. Breen kept saying how awesome Mo Willaims was and JVG kept interjecting with yeah but he is killing their offense. He is awsome.

In fact they should get rid of Breen and just let van Gundy talk.

JVG and ESPN are made for each other.
