well, when you don't attempt to post up and settle for Js, you generally decline.

He has worse players around him. He never shot at a high percentage to begin with.

He was never that great in the first place. Very solid defender that looked better with a winning cast around him, but with no team you begin to realize how bad his FG% is for a big man. And that the rest of his stats are just average for a big. Nobody wants to call him soft because that stereotype only generally applies to euros or white dudes, which JO is obviously a far stretch from. I used to be a big JO fan after they knocked a rookie Wade out with Reggie. But I kinda just realized they weren't that good. Miller's retirement and the Artest brawl/trade treated him horribly.

i didnt realize that black people weren't soft before. must be bc of all the hardc0re hip hop they're nurtured on. or they're just naughtier by nature. hard to say, not being a scientist.

Actually, its probably because JO plays solid D, which is a point soft players are often criticized on. Listening to Dead Prez won't make you any better at defense. Hell, I bet Artest could barely understand a verse, considering the most cleverly-titled song he's produced is titled "Hood Luvh." But it doesn't stop the man from being one of the best defenders in the L.

He just needs a change of scenery... In December he averaged 19 ppg, 8 rpg, 3 apg, 2.6 bpg on 48.5% FG, 86% FT in 33 min and 15 games...

hes not worth 21 mil but can still be a very productive player... Pacers just dont fit his game anymore...

I can't believe Lakers almost traded Odom AND Bynum for him.

sorry, but lakers were never close to accepting that trade... that is what pacers said lakers would need to give for O'neal no exceptions and lakers laughed and said screw you.

Bynum for kidd straight up was the closest trade... no way lakers would give up both odom and bynum if bynum is worth more to them than kidd. Lakers were offering odom with like radman or brown and pacers didnt want to do it... lakers didn't value o'neal that much they only wanted to do it to appease kobe.

I think he's just sick of playing in Indiana and has the wrong mindset. Every time I've seen him play I have been impressed with his defensive and physical capabilities. I want to see what he could do on another team before I write him off completely.

JO should not have to create his own shots. He would be great next to a good playmaker. Pacers are lacking a guy who can penetrate and create shots off the dribble. Tinsley is just a terrible point guard. Granger has the potential to be that guy. On a team like the Lakers, which more than one coach has called the best passing team, he'd be shooting a much higher percentage.

He would be good with lakers, but pacers are asking way too much for him.. Bynum is right now better than oneal and to ask for odom too is just too much and lakers will be much much worse off trading both those players... pacers wont budge with odom and fillers.
