92 Dream Team Intense Practices (Mentioned in Jordans book)

it's been bugging me for a while now, in one of Jordan's latest books (i think it's the one he wrote himself? it has alot of pictures)

he has an insert where he talks about the original dream team. all i can remember is that he said him and magic would keep talking smack to each other (magic calling showtime the best ever, jordan saying his team better etc) throughout their traveling and that every practice, all the coaches would do is just throw them a basketball and they'd scrimmage the whole time.

from his words, he described the practices as very very intense but he would always end up beating magic's team. what's urking me is does anyone know what the rosters were? they both had crazy lineups and it's really really bugging me.

someone with the book or knows the practice team lineups, please tell me! i googled everything possible and couldn't find it

ps - i wish someone had clips of their original practices.. imagine how intense they would just watching ewing, jordan, bird, magic, pippen, malone, robinson, barkley, drexler and stockton all going at it.

I saw some footage of them scrimmaging in "Michael Jordan Air Time", and I noticed Jordan and Pippen were running a fast-break, so they were on the same team in that scrimmage. I remember Magic in the paint throwing a no-look shovel pass which his teammate didn't catch and Magic saying "THAT'S ALRIGHT! THAT'S ALRIGHT!". And I remember seeing Pippen and The Admiral arguing on the bench about something.

I don't know who was on each roster I'm afraid, but I think it is also relevant to keep in mind that Magic (and Bird for that matter) were far from peak level at that point.

Magic was only a year from the 91 Finals. And he played like me in the 92 ASG. He wasn't far from peak level.

Bird's back was done tho.

Jordan's a loon if he really thot that the 1st threepeat Bulls > Showtime.

Well I think Doc is saying Magics prime is more 82ish thru 90ish. He was still an elite player after that but Mike probably was at an advantage being in his prime at 28 years old while Magic hadn't played due to his "illness" and being 32 years old at the time........

Yup. When Magic and Jordan are debating about whose team was better, they were talking about Jordan's current team, and Magic's team a half decade previously.
