Kobe(Starter)
McGrady(starter)
CPaul(Voted in)
Nash(Voted in)
The odd man out is AI along with Baron Davis, Tony Parker.
Looks like AI will miss it.

AI should make it, he's playing better than nash and tmac this season alone.

there should be room for another guard or two, although a couple of western conference guards deserving of the game will be missing the all star game

If AI misses the All-Star game the coaches are (Please Use More Appropriate Word). I'm sure he'll be voted in as one of the two, guard reserves spots. If not, he'll be a wild care pick.

Over Chris and Nash?

there are two wild card slots than make the 11th and 12th all stars, they can go to any position.

He'll get in, theres always the chance T-Mac will be injured and as always, there will be at least one injury replacement, and the replacement will most likely be a guard since the conference has become super guard heavy.
I expect it to be:
Kobe/Nash/CP3
T-Mac/AI/Baron Davis
Carmelo/Dirk
Duncan/Boozer
Ming/Stoudemire
Then Roy, Parker as an injury reserve

There are two positions where they can select any position. It'd likely be Nash, Paul, Iverson and Baron. McGrady should step down and give that spot to Roy.....

Kobe/Nash/CP3
T-Mac/AI/Baron Davis
Carmelo/Dirk
Duncan/Boozer
Ming/Stoudemire
thats what will happen. iverson should go and also Baron.
But in the game...
Nash/CP3/Baron
T-Mac/AI/Baron
Kobe/Carmelo
Duncan/Boozer/Dirk
Ming/Stoudemire/Duncan

Exactly. AI deserves to make it, and he definitely will, especially if T-Mac is injured.

Absolutely AI over Nash so far this season, but there's room for both.

He'll be there. the question is if TMac is injured (very possible) will it be Parker or Roy who takes his place (assuming Baron in selected by the coaches)?

SG Bryant
SG McGrady
SF Anthony
F/C Duncan
C Ming
The coaches HAVE to select a PG, SG, SF, PF, and C as backups? and then two nonspecified players?
In that case it would be: PG Chris Paul, SG Allen Iverson (technically), SF Josh Howard, PF Dirk Nowitzki, C Amare Stoudemire and PF Carlos Boozer (23/11/3 on 55%) and any of Baron Davis/Steve Nash/Shawn Marion/Deron Williams/Brandon Roy.
Or is it two Gs, two Fs, and a C? and then two miscellaneous?
In that case it'd still be Paul/Iverson/Nowitzki/Stoudemire, but Boozer would be a lock and Howard would fight with Davis/Nash/Marion/Williams/Roy for the 12th spot.
Or simply seven players?
Then it'd be Paul/Iverson/Nowitzki/Stoudemire/Boozer/Davis/Williams, IMO.

No, just two guards, two forwards, and a C. It isn't so specified.

YOU STOLE MY AVY!!!!
But yea, AI should be in it, although I doubt it means very much to him as a player.

The coach will be morons if they select parker or roy before baron davis, the problem is that last year they already selected parker and he is not all-star material.

So, in theory, despite a legitimate PG not starting FOUR could make the roster (two G's and the 11th and 12th men)?
Paul, Davis, Williams, and Nash could all get in on this?

If I'm not mistaken.
