Dwight Howard on his FT struggles:
"I just think everybody needs to stop talking about it," Howard said. "There's more to life than free throws."

Based on what?
If your putting him in the hall of fame, its based on his pre kidney disease performance. No one makes the hall of fame off being a 15mpg player.
He only played 8 seasons during that stretch. He only finished in the top 10 of MVP voting two times (both times top 5). He only made two all-NBA teams and made two All-NBA defensive teams. His teams won only four playoff series with him as the best player.
His peak was very short and wasn't high enough to overcome its brevity. Also he lacked the playoff moments. In short a very good career but not a hall of famer. I understand why people feel otherwise.

Bull. Players make the HOF based on the entirety of their careers, not just what they did in their primes.

He was also the two time DPOY, an Olympic Gold Medalist, and a great college player (which counts).

Bill Walton ring a bell?

Hitting a buzzer beating series winner against the Celtics in 1993, legendary battles with the Knicks, and 6 shots blocked in the decisive game of the finals? Those aren't big playoff moments?
