wow, crowded field.

There are a lot of vaguely skilled big men running on around on teams rosters.

Hakeem Warrick, Channing Frye, Luke Walton (skilled but never going to be any above average), etc.

On my team, I think Joe Smith is the most amazingly stereotypical big in the league. Does everything just fine. But thats it. I wouldn't call any of his skills better than average, or worse than average for a 4.

thats EXACTLY who i was thinking of. this guy has been mediocre his whole career, and he is the perfect mediocre player.

career stats of 12 points 7 rebounds. thats about what he does EVERY season.

just sucks he was a #1 pick, becuase thats a pretty solid career.

I wish Bargnani could be at least mediocre. At this point, he's useless garbage.

I agree with that. Ray Felton is a mediocre PG. He's just plain average at everything, but not good or bad.

Shane Battier
Bobby Simmons
Mike Dunleavy
Ryan Gomes
Jarret Jack
Andrew Bogut
WTF?!?! 17.3 PPG 5.8 RPG 3.2 AST says differently.

he plays both...and has played more Center for Orlando than PF, after Dwight officially made "the switch" he went to PF, but once we got Darko he came a big minute backup center....so...

I've always viewed Mobely as the average NBA 2 guard. I haven't given much thought to any other position though.

Mediocre is no longer used to mean average. It doesn't mean the worst, but it does mean moderately bad.
