I would probably start Mccants over Davis. This team would be able to compete with DET and BOS if they were healthy. That's pretty sad that it would take MIA, who won it all 2 years ago, to combine with another team to be considered elites. That shows how far they've fallen

That's what happens when you sacrifice your future for a shot at winning now.

We got rid of Ricky for a reason, start Gomes instead. Also, if everyone was healthy you would have
Shaq/Al/Gomes/Wade/Foye
which is a very, very good starting line up, but also off the bench you have
Ratliff/Haslem/C.Smith/C.Richard (as the bigs)
Jaric/Brewer/McCants/cook (wings)
J.Williams/Bassy (points)
walker and Davis/blount are somewhere.
If Healthy this would be a very good team. But the health is the issue this year also.

if everyone was healthy the heat wouldn't have the 2nd worst record.

Some teams are in a position to do that, and actually end up fulfilling that goal. Miami was one of those teams....
Better to have won a title, than to have never.....

Exactly, it paid off for the Heat. Some other teams though it hasn't.

Ricky Davis is still on that team. That team is definitely lottery-bound.

Shaquille O'Neal/Theo Ratliff
Al Jefferson/Udonis Haslem
Ricky Davis/Ryan Gomes/Corey Brewer
Dwyane Wade/Rashad McCants/Gerald Green
Randy Foye/Marko Jaric
That team would not win a championship due to not having any legitimate point guards on the entire roster, but that frontcourt is spectacular.

Exactly.
Somebody posted on this forum a list of all the teams that have won championships in the past few decades and surprisingly it's only a handful of teams
I wish I had saved it

And it's the same thing that will happen to the Celtics...
