Ladies and Gentlemen,
I present you with Starting PG and Center for one of the worst teams in the NBA.
Let's hear it for Chris Duhon and Ben Wallace.
Chris Duhon:
27mpg 22%FG 21%3pt 42%ft 3.8ppg
Ben Wallace:
33mpg 34%fg 47%ft 4.5ppg
You might be wondering why Bulls suck??? These 2 numbnuts are HUGE part why we suck so much - On top of that our coaches SUCK as much for still letting them stay in the starting lineup and give them HUGE minutes while the better players (BG/Thabo/Tyrus/Noah) etc rot on the bench.
My question is that - DO We have ANY team in the nba that have similar production from their starting PG AND Starting Center???
What about history of the NBA???

I'm sure worse starters have existed due to injury.
That's pretty bad, though. 8.3 ppg from two starting positions combined is terrible. Hell, even 8.3 from the two lowest scoring positions EACH is topped by several teams.

Wow! That is amazingly sucky.
And yes, that is the worst PG/C combo in the NBA.

These 2 players are not coming off the bench - they are starters and playing starters minutes even with all that sucking.
I don't know why our coaches love them? Maybe coz they don't turn it over that much??? That's very short sighted though.
Maybe there are teams that have bad PG or bad Center but BOTH on the same team and BOTH STARTING???
WTF???

Spurs are pretty close with their starting C and SF. But not THAT bad.
SF Bowen MPG 30.7 PPG 5.9
C Oberto MPG 29 PPG 5.2

They are NO WAY close.
Bowen shoots 40% fg and 41% 3pt - Duhon is in 20%s.
Oberto 63%fg and 56%ft - far better than Wallace.
It's not even close.

Nope they were still far better.
Kwame only played half the season and even then he was better.
Kwame shot 59% fg and 8.4ppg (twice as much as wallace).
Smush also same. He shot 44%fg and 37%3pt while 11ppg - twice better than Duhon and some.
So there is NO CONTEST.

Man, those statictics for Duhon & Wallace aren't pretty.
Duhon's contract expires this year, so that's a plus.
Wallace's contract extends to the 2009-2010 season, that's not a plus considering he's making 15.5 mil this year, 14.5 mil next year, and 14 mil in 2009-2010. That's a lot of money tied up in a player that isn't getting the job done.
Wallace's contract might eventually become valuable in a trade as an expiring contract, but that's not happening anytime soon. Bulls fans have a right to be upset with Wallace & his contract.

Nah, Rondo has really improved his jumper while Duhon is in the league for 4 years and still has a PATHETIC jumper.
He was known as a gym rat - but I have no idea what he does in the Gym??? sleeps I guess.

They say PG and C are two of the most important positions. The proof is in the pudding.
(now obviously if you have some amazing superstars in the other positions you can slack off. if you have Timmy D at PF, you can have a mediocre C, if you Kobe at SG you can have a mediocre PG, etc, but barring 'extraordinary superstar' those are the most important).
Those numbers are unacceptable, and I would permanantly bench both of them. Try to set up Hinrich/Gordon/Thabo as a 3 guard rotation while begging Paxson to get a 'big guard'... bench Wallace permanantly and just throw minutes at Tyrus and Noah, and let them develop. May lose games but they are already losing games so what's the difference? At least this way you help next season.

I just took a closer look... the starting point guard is a worse free throw shooter than BEN WALLACE!!!

Nice try, but you can't pin that crapitude on us any longer. Smush was banished to Miami, and the only reason Kwame starts is because Bynum's out.

Worst PG/SG combo goes to the Orlando Magic!
PG - Nelson/Arroyo
SG - Evans/Bogans/Dooling
We've gone through five different starters in the backcourt, and we still have no good combo.

No way, man... Bulls fans were quick to tell us all last year they were the new class of the east with the Ben Wallace signing...
They're currently flexing their dominance upon us all...

No need too, Boston fans will bring their team into any discussion, even if it doesn't warrant the mention.
