If the raptors offered Calderon for Kobe... it doesn't mean Kobe's value is low... Just that the GM who offered it is stupid

As for this "offer," it just means Isiah is stupid in thinkin that a guy who was had for Frye and Francis while putting up career numbers in POR is all of sudden gonna net Vince Carter after putting up less than stellar numbers in NY.

I'd do Carter + pick for Crawford, Jones & Chandler though.

I'd have been inclined to bite on that trade if a pick was involved... Vince Carter is having a fine year and all but I wouldn't mind having a 20/11 big man on my team, especially since the Nets have been moaning about lacking a good big for ages.

Doesn't the article say the Nets offered Carter for Randolph after Knicks offered it a month ago..

Randolph certainly aint bad. He averaged 24/10 in Portland, and now 17/10 in 32mpg, and I bet he's not exactly thrilled to be playing in such a bad team.

Hmmm can't knock him for trying. I mean it's still like the top 10 moves from Isiah just for suggesting the trade alone.

Hey Carter was traded for Aaron and Eric Williams.

as a knicks fan i would have to think about it. Randolph isn't a complete garbage player and he's still only 26. VC just signed a new contract which I think is the same length or maybe even a year longer than randolph's.

VC isn't trash either but he's over 30 now and towards the end of that contract he's going to be declining pretty fast and won't be able to play well enough off of sheer athleticism like he has done before. He doesn't seem to have as much motivation as he did last year just from watching some nets games (i have league pass)

I would probably do it though just to get rid of randolph because the curry/randolph experiment isn't working. But I don't think it's as lopsided as some people will make it out to be.

Agreed, and NJ has the personnel to cover Randolph's deficiencies(Particularly Sean Williams).
