he is clearly playing at a high level and not only is he an all star, but should be a mvp canidate. 24 rebounds and 11 blocks n a game against a great reb team in utah is unreal

That said, he shot like 4-11 and had 8 points, in what was a most Ben Wallace-like performance.
Impressive D and rebounding as usual, though.

MVP candidate? no..
he gets enough love, he won DPOY last year..he's a great player, and a fantasy monster..everybody knows what he's capable of..

Sort of the Jason Kidd of centers.

For what he's there most for, excellent game
I hope having to do more than usual doesn't take a toll on him though. Doing a good deal of that interior work with lacking, in and out, other bigs to help him. Which is partial to the big-time kind of games he's had this season, but it also just shows how capable and good he still is.

I watched the game, and even with Kleiza getting his 40 points and Iverson and Melo doin their thing, I felt through the whole game that Camby was the one makeing the difference. Seemed like he was everywhere, getting his team second and third shots, sending all the weak shot attempts back in the Jazz's face. The guy trully was amazeing tonight, even with a poor shooting night he found way's to help his team win, and IMO is the single biggest reason his team got the W! Mad props for Camby! dude is a beast!

Yeah, because the Nuggets were really in desperate need of scoring from him tonight....ya know, with LK/AI/Melo combining for over 90 pts. Plus, a few of those shots were just long range shots he had to throw up to try and beat the shot clock.....and he took a good 3-5 shots in the last few minutes before he was going to come out, trying to get the triple double.
All that said, he still didn't manage to deliver a baby or find the cure for aids during this game, so no props to him.

MVP candiadate? that's a stretch for a guy that isn't averaging 10pnts.

That's not terribly relevant; the man was saying Camby should garner MVP consideration for the performance and I was disagreeing. Camby played his role with excellence as he usually does.
My negativity was directed towards the poster, not the player.
Try to read my post next time, instead of giving a knee-jerk response to something you thought was disrespect to a player on your team.

I think what is most impressive is that he has been the most healthy big for Denver for quite some time. He was always been gimpy and now that stigma is gone.

I think we should stay away from saying that just yet. It was only two seasons ago that he only played 56 games. Don't curse him now.

I just hate how Marcus takes every 4th or 5th game off. He is playing spectacular this year though, but he is a stat padder. Today he fought melo for a rebound and ended up turning it over.....and unfortunately thats not uncommon

I watched that game... he threw up 3 bad shots in garbage time when he knew it didn't matter (hoping to get a triple double), including 2 3-pointers. So I can't say that he had a bad shooting night.
When the game mattered at all, he shot 4-8. He certainly wouldn't have been chucking 3s if it was a close game!
This is coming from a non-Nuggets fan, if it makes any difference.

Umm, no not at all. Camby is pretty much the MVP of the Nuggets so far.

MVP of the league?? NO WAY
its ridiculous if he doesnt make the allstar team tho.
- eight 20 rebound games this year
- 1 triple double (with 10 blocks) to go along with his 8pt /24reb/11 blocks performance last night.
-last night he became the 3rd player in NBA History (stat tracking era, circa 1970) to record 24 reb. and 11 blocks in the same game (Shaq, Elvin Hayes).
maybe the West is just too amazing this year. so many guys are going to be left off the AllStar team.

DPOY and All Star IMO. MVP? maybe if he scored 8-10 more points a game.
If he could average 16 pts, 14 rebs and 4 blks per game, that'd be MVP worthy.
