Reggie Miller for one, but the biggest disgrace is that Artis Gilmore isn't already there.

Where's Laimbeer on this list? Where is Rodman? Two guys right there who really deserve to be in the Hall, and who will get the shaft because they didn't play "nice". And did not kiss anyone's behind.

either way, I think Rodman will get in at the end..he deserves it..

And it appalls me to agree with it. Rodman was pound for pound the best rebounder of his era.
Laimbeer was the greatest defensive rebounder of his era, and was the best outside shooting big man of his time. Both deserve to go. They both helped generate money for the league, (both by their darker styles, and fans loving to hate them) and by their fine checks to the league. They were the best villains the game has ever had, I would argue Laimbeer was the NBA's greatest villain. But their contributions to their teams success cannot be understated. Hell Bill was one of the most versatile, and dependable centers that I have ever seen.
But outside of Detroit, and Chicago most fans refuse to give these guys their due.
Bill Walton "Of course Laimbeer was the must underrated player of all-time. Everyone hated his guts!"

Seriously? People don't think Kemp should be in the Hall of Fame?

He never even once managed to get a 20/10 season... a good player in his time but not a hall of fame player.
I am not sure how old you are but I would rather have a Prime Terry Cummings compared to Kemp.

Did Kemp win a championship? I think he won't make it due to his decline in production due to drugs(and being out of shape).
Mitch Richmond was a great player too. Very consistent. But, for some reason, I don't think of him as a hall of fame player.

My thoughts are;
Patrick Ewing
Bernard King
Reggie Miller
Hakeem Olujawon
Scottie Pippen
Mitch Richmond
David Robinson
should have already been
Shawn Kemp - although I'm a sonics fan, Kemp is not a caliber of player for HOF, looking objectively really isn't

Terry was a hell of an offensive player for a long time, no disputing that. But if we're talking about the Basketball Hall of Fame, I feel Kemp's overall impact during his prime is worthy of at least some consideration. He was the best (arguably) PF during a four-man windfall in the NBA and helped usher in the age of the hyper-athletic frontcourt players we see now. So, though he didn't have any 20/10 seasons (he did have four 18/10 and one 20/9 season-- Cummings didn't ever average 20/10 after his rookie year, by the by) I feel that he left a far greater impression on the game than raw numbers would indicate.
(As an aside, his numbers are quite similar to Cummings: 10 years of prime-level production, more career RPG and less career PPG; very similar FG%s; Kemp had better defensive numbers and FT%)

I completely agree with the Mitch Richmond statement above, he is a good player and perenial all-star. It's really difficult to call him hall of fame worthy.
Also you cannot omit Kemp because of drug problems, many other HOF's had issues of their own. Albeit it doesn't help the argument to get him in.

I cant believe that some of you guys arent mentioning Artis Gilmore in your posts .
He is by far the first on my list and like T.D said he should have been in there a long time ago .

That's because he was surrounded with crap throughout his career in Sac. If one were to combine all of the best players that Mitch had around him, throughout his tenure, the lineup would look like this.
Lionel Simmons
Spud Webb/Tyus Edney/Anthony Johnson
Mitch Richmond/Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf
Walt Williams/Lionel Simmons/Billy Owens
Wayman Tisdale/Corliss Williamson
Brian Grant/Olden Polynice/Dwayne Causwell
And that is a combination of the very best players he played with. Never mind the fact that Simmons started sucking after 4 years, Williams, Williamson, Johnson, Edney and Grant really only played with him at the beginning of their careers (and none exactly went on to be studs), and Abdul-Rauf was past his prime when he came here. Oh, and the best real center he ever played with in Sac was Olden Polynice.
Really, we might have been better off without him because without Mitch, we would have had the most ping pong balls every single year.
