looking at the stats

Post#1 » by RobertGlory » Sun Jan 20, 2008 8:31 pm

in defensive efficiency boston is #1 with 97 points per 100 possessions

to find #2 you have to go to houston (lot of good that's doing them) at 103.8

that's a 6.8 point difference

6.8 more points than houston would put them 27th

minnesota is last at 113.7

they're probably not the greatest defensive team of all time but they're kicking butt compared to their peers

Good for them, maybe next time they'll beat the Wizards.

P.S. IBTL?

I think they have a Celtics board for a reason. Post this there, you'll be loved immediately.

Everyone already knows the Celtic's defense is very good.

But not good enough to beat the Wizards.

Good enough to beat the Nets though- then again everyone's defense is.

And the loss to the Wizards- more due to their offense than defense.

It was a combination of offensive and defensive lapses. The Cetlics couldn't stop anyone in crunch time and KG couldn't consistently score over the bigger, stronger, Brendan Haywood.

You always know someone has nothing worthwhile to say when they generalize and say "Celtic fans" or "Laker fans" or whatever.

I never said that Green would be the next T-Mac or that Perkins would be anything more than a decent big man- so it really doesn't mean anything to me.

And of course you preferred it back then- at least the Nets had a chance to win the Atlantic division back then.
.
Edit: I see you deleted your previous post.

And agreed- it was a combination of both- though more our offense (or the Wizard's defense depending how you look at it) as exhibited by our low point totals in those two games.
Damn
