It doesn't matter, the C's have the best record, so he gets it.

It's not like its' a good or bad call either way.

Bringing in Garnett and Allen doesn't automatically change Doc from a coach who, prior to this season, has been seen as doing a horrible job in Boston and overrated in Orlando, to a very good coach who is deserving of accolades.

Same deal with Eddie Jordan, last season. I didn't think he really deserved to coach the East, but it's all up to team position.

He doesn't deserve it, but his team has the best record, so there's nothing that can be done.

The coach whose team has the best record does not always get it. Coaches can't coach two ASG's in a row. I don't know if they could if they switched to a team in a different conference though.

I think Flip or SVG deserved it more, but oh well. I guess KG, Ray Allen and Pierce would make every coach look better.

I'm not being a homer as it just so happens that Sam Mitchell was last year's COY. But I always thought it'd make more sense if they had the COY from the previous year to coach the All-Star Team of the following year.

As the standings sit now the West would be coached by Hornets Byron Scott, since they are currently 2nd in the West behind Phoenix, who coached last years game.

There are still 3 other teams that could easily move up to that spot though as the West has been highly competitive so far this season.
