Should Heat be taken off National TV? (merged threads)

I can understand having them on occasionally, but the Heat are just plain bad this year and it seems like they're on ESPN or TNT all the freaking time. Can't the league change the national game? Give a team like Portland or even Washington/Atlanta more play?

Merged the two threads about the same subject.

same thing w/the bulls... both tnt and espn continue to play the same teams over and over again (Lakers, heat, cavs, mavs, bulls, spurs, pistons, suns, nuggets, etc..) i understand for tnt that they televise the only games on thursday nights usually, but espn really needs to have a flexible schedule for wed and fri night instead of going w/the same boring teams

Agreed; I feel like every time I turn on the TV it's either the Heat, Cavs or Nuggets... or some combination thereof. I think a flex(ible) schedule like NBC has for the NFL games they air nationally would be a great idea. Late in the NFL season, NBC used their flex option to switch from a meaningless game being aired Sunday night to another game (Vikings-Redskins) which was essentially an early playoff game, where the winner went on the the playoffs and the loser went home. It's a solid system, and one TNT, etc. should bargain for with the NBA games.

flex schedules are probably more difficult in the nba. in the nfl at least every game is played on sunday (except MNF).

anyway quit complaining. next year they won't be on so many national games and you can watch some other team for 40 times throughout the season.

Yeah Miami should be taken off..but you know their lineup is based on anticipation. Thas why Portland got those games. It just happens that they are still good without Oden.

I have a soluition to the problem. When the Heat or the Cavs are on, I simply don't watch, It's not basketball anyway when one of those two teams is involved. Why wants to watch LeBron and or DWade playing by one set of rules while everyone else is playing by another set?

it sucks, because in australia we get a select few games a week. and most of them include the heat. its painful.

cept the game between the hear and the wolves, where the wolves won. we got that game. i was the happiest id been in years. it was a thing of beauty. win 5 :)

wade alone will get better ratings then half the teams, but it won't matter since the heat suck so much this year the heat wont be on national tv as much next year probably only 10-12 times instead of the 30 times their on now uness of course they make a trade in the ofseason to get a another star

Yes they should. They are arguably the worst team in the league. 14 game losing streak. 8-33 overall. Last in the east.

The Heat have nothing but trash to offer unless you mean trading Wade for some talent back because that is the only trade that will get them something useful. Of course that isn't going to happen so the Heat are screwed for at least 2 more years and maybe even longer if Wade gets tired of losing and decides to leave.

Absolutely. As many games as possible should be taken off the cable/NTV schedule.

Just because Shaq/Wade are "names" (not what expected to be), Riley's the coach, and the Heat were once a good team - doesn't mean they should continue to get this significant coverage.

I'm with you. If the Cavs, Heat and Spurs are on TV. I simple don't watch.

I much rather watch re-runs of poker, women's tennis, female college volleyball, ...etc.
