Who do you think has the most stacked offense? Suns? Pistons? Spurs? Celtics? Nuggets? Discuss. :o

So far this year Pheonix is #1 by a decent margin, followed by Dallas.

I'll tell you who its not, the Pacers. Our offense is terrible. We don't drive, draw fouls, or shoot good shots. We are very lucky we average over 100. I love my tem and all, but we have nobody for a first option. Its basically who feels like shooting for us.

I think the answer is a little more complicated than just THE SUNS. idk if shorunning down the floor and shooting the ball within 3 seconds makes your offense that great but a lot of the points come basically come from the speed of the game.
That saidi would go with the....mavericks.

The Raptors last night lol

114pts, 58%FG, 15-21 3PT, 19-19 FT

But I'd have to say the Suns probly have the best Offence in the league.

Acutally those are the numbers for last year, but you can be forgiven for confusion. The top 3 this year are the same as last year.

For those who are interested: If Phoenix keeps this up it will be the 6th year of the last 7 that Nash's team has been the #1 offense in the league (finished second in '05-06 with Amare out largely due to poor rebounding). In all the time since they've been tracking stats well enough we can calculate Offensive Efficiency, no one has to their team to #1 on offense that many times (if memory serves Magic did it 5 times and Jordan did it 4).

You need to read up on Offensive Efficiency which approximates points per possession. Nash's team have dominated that for quite a while. Also, as of the last 2 years, Phoenix isn't the most run n gun team in the league any more. Last year it was Golden State, this year it's Denver.

Suns do in the way that they do (rank #1 in all or almost all). Which also only has gotten them so far in the playoffs, and is a different offense for the majority of their playoff runs, compared to the regular season.

Despite AI/Carmelo and ranking well in stats, I don't think Denver's that great of an offensive team. They're limited in what they can do and are not consistently effective in the half-court. Not being a strong-point for them. Also are not even an average 3PT shooting team, shooting 33% as a team. That's well below the league average (which I'd guess is around 34-35 percent).

Warriors are also not a diverse offensive team, in ways to score, but rank high in catergories. They have a lot of player options, though.

A team ranking well in offensive catergories doesn't always equate to well-rounded ability on the court. It doesn't with the Suns, Warriors, Nuggets, Magic (to a lesser extent because of Dwight).

So, as far as versatility goes (which is ultimately what matters most, at least to me), it's any of the Spurs, Pistons, Jazz, Celtics, Lakers (with Bynum), Hornets, Mavs, Wizards. Half-court offense, 3PT shooting, ability to run at an average rate or more, and depth (except for the Hornets).

Now, the most explosive offense? Well, that's the Warriors or Suns. Probably would give the edge to the Warriors though, because they're more athletic and significantly deeper. They also have 3-4 guys that can create their own shot in multiple ways.

Watch any of the recent Warriors vs. Suns games, and you will see who the real "Run&Gun" team is.

But as the most versatile offense, i'll have to go with either the Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks and probably even the New Orleans Hornets.

I don't know why people keep saying this. The Suns have lost once to Mavs team which was favored in every conceivable way you could think of, and twice to eventual champion San Antonio who in neither season had a regular season record more than 4% worse than the Suns. This simply is not a team with a track record for doing far worse in the playoffs than they do in the regular season.
