Vince is a star player, just generally not a 1st tier player/superstar. Magic is just lacking on the way of quality standards. It isn't that extreme.

Vince is a star in the sense that he's a very popular player, but he's not a deserving All Star type player. Which is sad considering he has all the talent in the world. But that has been his story for years. Nothing new here.
