A way to fix the All-Star voting-Player vote

Many have expressed discontent at the current "popular vote" all-star voting. Kenny Smith says that there should be a player vote along w/ the fan and coach votes. I'd say he's right on this one.
Thoughts?

The NFL players consistently make choices that are as bad if not worse than those the fans make in the NBA for their "All Star Game" so I doubt it would make it any better.

whats wrong with the allstar votes? There aren't that many problems with it and its all about who the fans want to see, so ask the fans.

Any time you want accolades to be determined by people who will really take it seriously you've got to go to the writers.

All-Star game is a joke anyway...When someone like Shaq was the 2nd leading vote getter for East C, Its in trouble...

Coaches/Writers should vote for the starters and bench i think...get the BEST players out there, not the most popular

There's nothing wrong with the voting. The game is entertainment for the fans and the fans should be able to see whoever they want to see.

well....here is what i'd like to say ideally

fans vote for 10 players to make the all-star game...

coaches determine who the starters are...

reserves are voted in by the coaces and media
