imagine if his name was the ballot.

i am glad the nba left him out

we can not and shouldn't allow people in china to hijack this game

How you can even think of voting Yi over KG and LeBron I don't know.

because they have no concept of "deserving" to be an allstar.

for a country that doesn't vote and have no democratic process they sure love to vote for their non deserving players.

its one thing if they deserve it, but these people don't care.

i know the nba is a popularity contest, but we have to stop letting the chinese vote.

i belive in fairness, and this is very unfair. if there are ten chinese players in the NBA all 10 will start if the nba don't keep them off the ballot.

It wasn't even the Chinese people voting for Yi, the Chinese government has sweatshops where they force people to vote for Yi for 12 hours a day with no pay or food... In exchange for doing this great service for their country the Chinese government allows the sweatshop workers to continue to live.

Yao didn't even have more votes than the top three in the East (KG, Bron, Dwight). Can't really complain about the Chinese vote this year...

Perhaps we shouldn't be attacking an entire race because of their bad taste in basketball players.

i don't doubt you

maybe they are testing out democracy by letting them vote for the all star game

I am not attacking nobody.

I am just saying they have no right to influence the nba all star game with sheer numbers

I know the nba is trying to sell some nike to a billion people, but we whould sell the integrity of this game either.

well i understand Yao getting the votes..he still doesn't deserve to start....

he's probably deserved to be an all-star 4 out of 7 times he's been voted in...

Now, Yi shouldn't be getting half a million of votes...he plays on a losing team and gets 10 and 6 and is a rookie..

I really hope that in the future (like next season) he doesn't get voted in...that'd be a travesty...

why not? how is an american fan any more important then a chinese fan? get real, the usa is full of stupid idiots who voted in carter a few years back and who voted for tmac this year. i would love to vote for yi but it's a write in and my laziness overrides the desire to show you up.

you win

youve got to be kidding. carter and tmac, even now, are both 1000000 times more worthy of being chosen all stars than this yi guy.

just because the chinese fans wanna see Yi and american fans wanna see TMac when there are more worthy candidates doesn't make it different just cause tmac has a better season then Yi.

To anyone saying Yao shouldn't be a starter... what is your logic? Who would start above him at center?

And as for Yi, that is a stretch, but it's no different from us voting for players on our favorite team.

I'm almost certain we've talked about this before, and I'm almost certain it led nowhere.
