We badly need cover for our PG area as Parker hasbeen injured with a bone spur for the past 2 months. I'd welcome mighty Mouse as a backup PG to provide some scoring and give Parker some much needed rest. Get it done RC!

LOL That's true but at this stage i'll take any point guard that can shoot.

He'd be a good addition, improves their depth and IMO a much better option than Vaughn.

I wouldn't mind him..but Vaughn worked on his game for the entire off-season, and he's shown tremendous improvement..so I don't think we need a backup PG..he can defend, he can hit the mid-range J with consistency this year, and he's cut down on his bad decisions..

the only reason I would want Damon is because of his 3-point shooting, which we need with the injuries and struggles..

We really need Parker to sit out for a while to heal up. So with this in mind Damon would be a perfect pick up for a 1 year contract.

Why give something up to get him when you could just sign Damon to the minimum?

I like this move for SA. I think Stoudamire has a lot more left in the tank than NVE did for SA. Also I still hope he has some ability to create shots left, because the Spurs bench could really use that.

i encourage the spurs to keep stockpiling old fart has beens. this team is going to go from great to irrelevant as quickly as any NBA team ever has. they may already be there.

Yes, exactly.

i just don't think Stoudamire would fit in with the Spurs...I actually don't see him fitting in anywhere except maybe Phoenix. He's well over the hill and will take away shots from all of the contenders looking at him.

Overall, I like the move.

When Parker sits out games, he'll fill in adequately. He'll just have to adjust to his role when he goes to the bench later on.

If Stoudamire doesn't work out, then Jacque Vaughn will take back over fully again. Who is steady on both ends of the court, especially in defending and hustling.

Low-risk/high-reward move for the Spurs.
