No worries. In the long run, Thornton and Horford will prove to be the BEST players of this draft class. Nopes, Oden and Durant will not be as good as these two guys. Guaranteed.

He must have been pissed last night. He was just tossing the ball at the rim and it was going in. Too bad it had to come at the expense of the Hawks but he's definitely going to be a player in this league. He had the game saving block on top of it.

Noah was left off to, and he's had the highest PER among rookies for the majority of the year.

He's already 24 , i don't see him getting much better then he is right now.


I personally think they should have left Navarro and Scola out . I know they're good players but come on, these guys are no real rookies.

In fact they're veterans , they just haven't seen NBA floor before this season.

Moon is a different story. He's the same age but he hasn't nearly as much experience as the other two.

Thornton really only started playing basketball once he got to Florida State, if anything he is one of the most inexperienced players in the league. So his potential is still as high as any 20 year old.

Thornton should have made it over Jeff Green, in my opinion

It's more than one game. He's averaging 13.2 PPG 3.4 RPG & 1.7 APG on 49.6% shooting in January. Green is averaging 7.7 PPG 3.1 RPG & 1.5 APG on 38.3% shooting. He should be on the team.

I wanted to see Tyrus Thomas on the sophmore team. He didn't deserve it though thanks to the boneheadedness of our staff. I just wanted to see him get a piece of the action, he'd make the no-defense dunkfest more exciting.

He's averaging 7.2 PPG (46% FG) 8.7 RPG, and 1 SPG in 24 MPG over the last 10 games. He's produced whenever he's been given the opportunity. His production per-minute this year is remarkably similar to Horford's, and yet Al is often regarded as the future star and Noah the future bust.

To further my case, Noah has a higher PER, a better offensive rating, a slightly better defensive rating, a better assist%, a better steal%, and a slightly better block%. Horford has a whopping 1% higher TS%. Both are very, very good rebounders, Al being better on the defensive boards and Noah better on the offensive glass. Noah has put up these kinds of numbers in both limited and extended playing time, so the argument that he couldn't play at this rate given big minutes probably isn't an accurate one.

I'm not going to say that Noah will be the better player over the long-term (I believe Horford has a higher ceiling) but I do think Noah is being short-changed a little. He's been arguably as good as any rookie big man, except for maybe Sean Williams, who I think has a slight edge over every rookie at this point.

According to TrueHoop Thornton is one of the worst players getting minutes in basketball next to Bargnani, Malik Rose, Malik Allen, Jason Collins, Jarron Collins, Boris Diaw, and others.
