During the last two week the raptors offense have been almost to perfection. Even without their starting point gaurd, they have shot an unbelievable percentage throughout the scoreboard.
Against Washington, they had 56.6% 72.2% 88.2% (57 from the field, 72 from 3, and 88 from the free throw line).
Against the Celtics, they had 58.0% 71.4% 100.0%
Against the Bucks, they had 50.7% 53.3% 88.0%
Against the 76ers, they had 47.8% 50.0% 80.8%
Against the Kings, they had 52.4% 44.0% 86.4%

This is all in the span of the last 15 days. Mind you, their defense is one of the worst in the league, is there any team that can put these kinds of numbers offensively on a consistent basis?
Also remember when everyone was saying they wont be shooting 70+ percent from three again.. they did it the same week and 57 from the field.

come on part of defense is rebounding. How many offensive rebounds does toronto give a game..

we are 6th in the league in least points against per game
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/bytea ... eason_2007
we are also 11th in the league in FG% against
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/stats/bytea ... 7&sort=329
but i agree that our rebounding is terrible, and probably the one thing holding us back from being a better team.

from what i remember toronto has one if not the lowest paces in the league. Correct me if i am wrong. This is about thier offense though... there is no denying that a team that shoots like this and as you say has one of the best defenses in the league would be stuck with this record. Mabey i am missing something.

they sure ececute extremely well. And now consider that a guy like Bargnani who is supposed to stretch defenses even further is just stinking it from the field ...
So yeah, while i wouldn

offensively imo. And if only because more players are willing to work on their offense than on their defense and to most it is simply more rewarding to make a good play on offense than it is on defense, especially when it comes to intangibles. In Toronto

Toronto gives up offensive rebounds on 25.9% of missed shots, which ranks 10th best in the league.

Toronto is 25-20 in the East. Enough said. They wouldn't make the playoffs in the West.

Raptor's defense is not bad at all, rebounding on the other hand....
The raptors has 2 of the top 3 3pt shooters, 3 of the NBA's top 10. Along with a dominant big man scorer and a great PG duo, and near no drop off in bench production.

Toronto statisically is good offensively.
But are lacking in diversity, and a legit top scoring option outside of Bosh. They need an all-star-type wing-player, that can fill in as the #2 scoring option. So far, it's a committee of 3rd opton and down guys doing that. With only 2-3 third option guys in that group.
Bargnani maybe can be #2, but that's not clear yet. Even so, there'd still be a need for a dynamic offensive wing.
Toronto also needs a solid rebounder and defender to help Bosh. Rasho, Humphries, Garbajosa (whenever he's back) are not the answer, for that top helper big man. Again, that's a committee of guys doing it, but there is little to no seperation between any of them in impact on defense and rebounding. They're #3 option and down guys in reliance for defense and rebounding.
Kurt Thomas isn't a serious shot alterer/blocker at the basket, but is a presence there to an extent, and of course the rest of his defense, along with being an above-average rebounder. I think he'd be a good option, and has an adequate offensive game.
But what I mean more, is a center defensively like Diop, Haywood, Okafor, Dalembert, Pryzbilla, Chandler, Dampier, Perkins, Mohammed, etc. Most of those guys are unrealistic, but Diop and Pryzbilla (probably), are.

We also have the 3rd most difficult schedule so far. We are also missing our starting PG and SF from last season, just because our bench filled our starting line up needs (Calderon, Moon), it doesn't mean we didn't get a drop off in our bench production.
We will be alot better with Garbo and TJ back.

According to opponent winning % we've had
the most difficult.
