The Jazz rook was sent to the DL and has since set the record for most points in a game with 53.

As the JazzGM would you pull him from the DL and get him on ur NBA roster, or keep him developing in his current situation? If you would pull him out would you give him substantial minutes/start?

D-League is the D-League. Someone can score 60 points in the D-League and still be the last guy on the bench in the worst team in the NBA.

Start/substantial minutes?

The Jazz are pretty fat at the two guard right now with Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, and CJ Miles....there isnt enough minutes to try to spread them out between those three guys and Almond. I would vote to leave him in the D-League for the rest of the year, barring injuries, and let him continue to develop, then next year bring him up or use him in a trade for a defense minded big man.....although I think I'd rather trade off Miles instead of Almond.

I never said what I thought the Jazz should do... Personally I'd leave him in the DL until he dominating on a nightly...

the kid is good, imo will grow into a role as a scorer off the bench in a 20 minute role. He is really a great scorer, d-league or not.

I am actually surprised the Bucks havent brought him up yet. I think he has the potential to turn into a solid stater in this league.

Pape Sow tore up the D-League, he posted 40 and 20 games. He is no longer in the league.

Luke Jackson tears up the D-League, posting up 30 point games. He's currently a middling player on one of the worst teams in the league.

The D-Leagues top performers all have talent. But that doesn't necessarily indicate that they're currently capable of succeeding in the NBA.

I don't understand the logic of those saying they should leave him in the D-league to develop. If the guy's allowed to drop 50 on the regular, how much developing can you actually make him do?

50 on the regular? Check the stats for the games before he scored 53, one he had 20, the one before her had 8pts on 3-14 shooting, and the one before he had 7 on 2-10 shooting. Trust me, its not 'on the regular'.

It's the D-League. Players can put up ridiculous numbers there. Didn't Darius Rice drop 50 something in like the D-League championship a couple years ago? Where is he at?

Honestly I think the Dleague is half pointless when it comes to development. Sure it's better being down there than sitting on an NBA bench wearing a suit every game, but really...does it actually develop players?
Pape Sow went down there a couple of years ago and absolutely dominated. Where is he now? Europe.

I was saying "on the regular" somewhat sarcastically for the people who were saying he was going to tear up the D-League.
