ESPN Radio reported it, are you **** kidding me? Essentially it's Pau for Javaris + 2 late first rounders. This is just **** disgusting, I wanna strangle the Memphis GM, that prick.

Edit: Waived

I thought the league fixed this type of scenario from a few years ago dealing with Gary Payton and the C's.

Anyone?

I think Memphis will buy him out (way pay him his 9 million over the course of half a season when you can negotiate to pay him, say, 7 million now, and still get the same cap room?), but I think the rules prevent the Lakers from signing him again.

I don't think the Grizzlies have to pay his entire 9 million dollar yearly salary......I'm pretty sure it gets prorated, so they only actually have to pay him half of the contract(although the whole number still counts against the cap).

LMAO at Lakers fans who have been complaining these last 2 years, and saying how the NBA is rigged against them.

The Grizzlies aren't planning to re-sign Kwame so it makes sense to waive him in order to develop their young players.
I still find it hard to believe that they couldn't get a better offer for Gasol.

I heard Kwame has to wait at least 30 days, so I guess he has time to work on catching the ball now?

He will probably sign with someone else then?

The rules state that Kwame has to wait 30 days before joining the Lakers again. He is expected to wait those 30 days and then rejoin the Lakers for the vet's min to finish the season. This is what I heard on the radio in LA.
