He said the coaches have long term resentment towards baron davis coaches dont like him. Walton said that's why he's not on the team , and "they dont like his attitude"...he also mentioned him and jackson too...TOTAL BS

stephen a defended him saying hes been great this year with a great attitude but according to walton, it doesnt matter...

It's true, that was the biggest reason choir boy Roy and West got in over BD. Just b/c of image.

Davis was robbed, what a joke.

This is breaking news?

West didn't get it over Baron. He is a F and Baron is a G. They weren't in competition. Roy got it over Baron because he is playing better than Davis, and is a huge reason why the Blazers are doing great this year.

If that's the case, they need to change the all-star reserve system. Take it out of the coaches hands and let players vote maybe?

^ i think the two "wildcard" slots were roy and west, so it couldve been any position

LOL@Stephen A for thinking that three months of good behavior is a reputation changer.
Ron Artest hasn't acted up for 8 hours! Let's have the Queen knight him and declare him a saint! Granted, he was sleeping the whole time, but he's been great!

actually west was in competition, they were wild cards. reserves are 2 guards 2 fowards and 1 center and 2 wildcards.

Couldn't this have gone in one of the other five all-star threads?

And, for all the people that continue to dismiss Roy and how Portland has struggled lately, those same people forget Golden State started 0-6(I Believe) until Stephen Jackson(yes..that knucklehead) came back and they started rollin'.

And they took a guard with one of the wild cards. Are you seriously suggesting they should have 6 guards and 6 F/Cs on the team? Don't be foolish.

Best post in this thread. Frankly I thought Roy should just be in the Sophomore game but he has been playing really well. I guess the coaches thought he was playing "All-Star" well.

Sorry, it's just every year we see OMGZ [insert guard from my team] didn't make it but [insert lesser big man] did! It's just so damn stupid and annoying.

^ my apologies for coming off that way, and yes this could have been put in another thread...i just wanted to let people know that there were indeed other factors in this...

I agree. And it's probably always going to be this way. Especially in the Western Conference.

But even that doesn't really matter.
Bosh isn't officially a C. He's listed on NBA.com as a F (http://www.nba.com/playerfile/chris_bosh/), as well as on the Raptors official website (http://www.nba.com/raptors/roster/), and was a F on the all-star ballot as well.
But the coaches voted for him, with the intention of him playing C, and he wasn't a wildcard.

Then again, we have no idea who the wildcards even were, do we?

Last 2 positions can be any players.
