He's already the GOAT coach imo, although it's still open for debate. A 10th ring would officially end the debate.

Stop starting Lakers threads. Jesus. You're making us, the fans look bad.

Many say he's the GOAT already just like many say Duncan is better than Kobe.
I think if he can win 1 it'll help a little but if he wins 2 you can't argue that he's GOAT

I already consider him the best ever. One more reason why this Laker team can't possibly fail.

well i dont think its fair since the lakers just stole talent.
you only goat if you do something great with something that isnt so good by itself and you give them a little kick in the butt
if heat somehow make the playoffs this year and win the ship then Riley would be the GOAT in that regards.

It's a legitimate question. It's not making anyone look bad.

I was referring to more the increased number of LAL threads, in more ways than not.
PJ is already one of the BEST coaches this game has ever seen, 1 more title or not, he has that to his name already.
GOAT is another question. It all depends what one considers to be the Greatest Coach Ever; is it winning in different eras, with different styles, etc.

I still think Riley is the GOAT coach. Phil has enjoyed more success than Pat winning championships, but Pat's coaching ability is just off the charts. Can anyone else name a coach who has build systems as different as Riles has and enjoyed success with just about any of them (went from Showtime to defensive minded Knicks and made finals with both for instance).
Phil has a great system, and is easily top 3 among the best coaches ever IMO. However I think Riley is more versatile and thus I rank him nr 1 (for now).
