How many wins do you think the Western 8th seed will have? If its 50 wins, is that a record for most wins for an 8th seed? The West is do damn competitive this year, it's crazy.

Edit: This could be a historical playoffs, if the 8th seed is 50+ wins, then by default a Western team will have to defeat teams 50+ to reach the finals. Assuming Detroit Boston or Orlando have 50+ wins and make it to the finals on the east, the West will have to defeat another 50+ team to win it all, which has only been done by Hakeem's Rockets (I believe they also beat 2 60+ win teams however).

I'd say 50+ with the Rockets

47 most likely, this is going to be a hell of a playoff season.

Most people are projecting in the 47-48 range.

Golden State 48-34

It will be Golden State with 49 wins.

They will play Phoenix in the first round

I'd say 48. Eight teams with 50 in one conference is just too insane to fathom.

Whether it happens or not is another story.

By virtue of the fact that a team that is at or within one or two of 50 wins is a pretty darn good squad, the West then really becomes a toss-up.
