Create the Ultimate Western Conference playoffs

Post#1 » by Taiwan Killa » Wed Feb 6, 2008 7:17 pm

Pick any 8 of the following teams

Phoenix
Dallas
New Orleans
Utah
Lakers
San Antonio
Denver
Houston
Golden State
Portland

And put them any order you want with any team winning you want to create the ultimate ratings/rivalry bonanza. This is totally hypothetical here's my picks:

1. Phoenix
2. Lakers
3. Hornets
4. Dallas
5. San Antonio
6. Utah
7. Houston
8. Golden State

First Round:
Phoenix vs. Golden State RUN AND GUN TIME
Lakers vs Houston Kobe vs Tmac Phil vs Adelman
Hornets vs Utah Dwill vs Chris Paul
Dallas vs San Antonio Rematch time/Avery/Finley

Second Round
Phoenix vs Dallas Nash-back in Dallas against his best friend Dirk, and possibly against Kidd
Lakers vs Hornets-eh not that interesting story line wise

WCF
THE BIG RATINGS BLOCKBUSTER
LAKERS VS SUNS
-The big Suns Lakers rivalry
-Phil vs D'Antoni
-Kobe vs Raja
-Shaq vs Phil and Kobe
-Bynum vs Shaq
-All of Spain watching Pau

Then Finals
LAKERS VS BOSTON
-the rivalry renewed enough said

Can anyone think of a better hypothetical playoffs than that? Ratings/storyline/hype wise?

Obviously not as exciting to the streetball fans out there, but one i'd rather see as an old school NBA fan:

Round 1 Spurs vs Suns
Hornets VS Utah
Lakers VS Dallas
Denver VS Golden State

Round 2
Spurs VS Denver
Lakers VS Utah

WCF Spurs VS Lakers

Finals Spurs VS Pistons
Rematch of the best two teams in the league.

this is what I would like to see..

1.LA Lakers
2.San Antonio Spurs
3.Dallas Mavericks
4.Utah Jazz(division)
5.Phoenix Suns
6.Golden State Warriors
7.New Orleans Hornets
8.Denver Nuggets

2nd Round
LA Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns
San Antonio Spurs vs. Dallas Mavericks

Conference Finals
Spurs vs. LA Lakers/Phoenix Suns..I would love seeing Shaq beating Kobe, but I want LA in the conference finals..I feel like they would be by far our best challenge, and I would rather beat the best..

NBA Finals
Spurs vs. Celtics

True that.

The best team the Warriors can play is the Phx.

I want the Rockets in the playoffs too.

1.Lakers
2.Suns
3.Spurs
4.Jazz
5.Mavericks
6.Hornets
7.Warriors
8.Nuggets

Laker Vs. Nuggets- the Lakers beat them in the ground in 4 or 5 games
Suns Vs. Warriors - just because of the speed and Davis will kill Nash
Spurs Vs. Hornets - southwest battle
Jazz Vs. Mavericks - Williams, Ak47, Boozer, and Okur vs. Harrris, Terry, Howard, and Nowitzki

Lakers vs. Mavericks - Kobe vs. the Mavericks or Gasol, Bynum, and Odom vs. Howard and Nowitzki
Suns vs. Spurs - much needed rematch

Lakers Vs. Spurs - just because it should be this way. I want the best of the best so there's no questions to be asked what so ever.

Lakers Vs. Celtics - its olny right that it happens this way. Lakers in 6 games

Dallas v. GS - the rematch
Lakers v. Suns - so many storylines, now Kobe/Shaq too.
Hornets v. Jazz - battle of young PGs
Blazers v. SA - Old champs versus up-and-comers
