Why would the Pacers do that? We'd be much better off resting him the rest of the season and hoping he returns to form next season and either moving him then, or have he, improved Granger, and our 1st round draft pick O.J. Mayo get us into the playoffs.

GM's running scared because of a player who a bunch of fans call soft and a loser for never winning anything. Seems like the GM's of the league don't seem to think the way fans do. They know who they have to look out for. They know what they need to do.

I've been sayin they need an upgrade at the PF/C spot for a while and now after the moves made by PHO and LAL... they should be tryin as hard as possible to fill that weakness. The following is the depth chart that I would like to see SA have:

PG Parker/Damon/Ginobili
SG Finley/Ginobili/Udoka
SF Bowen/Ginobili/Udoka
PF Duncan/Horry/Bonner
C Mr. X/Oberto/Bonner

Mr. X: Acquired by trading the expiring contracts of Elson, Barry and some draft picks

There's no way financially that JO can be traded to SA without one of the Big 3 goin the other way, which ain't happening.

I doubt the spurs to trade one of their big three. The spurs greatest advantage is experience and chemistry, thats why i doubt them making any major moves

I have to agree with you they just may bring Rasho back he could step right back in and they get to keep the core intact. Spurs are a solid team already they don't need to do too much just some insurance in another big body.

Sadly, financially it aint happening. Spurs have to give up 5 players if pacers want cap space (and Larry Bird is greedy MFer so he won't be satisfied with hat for JO) and with that they lose almost their key players and risk contending this year with inured JO. best thing they would do is go to free agency this year and maybe get their hands on some role players.

JO is unrealistic for a number of reasons.

Artest or Mike Miller or Kurt Thomas or Foster, would be just beautiful.
