Albert Signs New Deal With Turner Sports
February 6, 2008 - 6:47 pm
TV Week -
Marv Albert has signed a deal with Turner Sports that will keep him with the network through the 2015-16 season, according to TV Week.

He will begin announcing games on NBA TV next season as Turner begins a partnership with the league's cable channel.

I read this from the wiretap, but i'm not sure what the deal means. Now that tnt and nbatv merged does that mean tnt games will be shown on nbatv? whats the significance of the deal...

Not sure, but I noticed NBATV now re-airs TNT's "Inside the NBA". Maybe that has something to do with it?

I guess it means they teamed up and are basically partners. Marv will call NBA tv games and on TNT.

Things I would suggest for them to make NBATV better.

1. Replay the best game of the night and have a former coach break down the tape of both teams.

2. During the pre/post game show have live look ins to all games.

3. Bring in press conference interviews of coaches/players post games of all that they can.

4. Have players do video blogs that air once a week or so.

5. D-League should get more showtime. Some D-League games should at least be replayed through the middle of the night.

6. Have a stat based show (not fantasy).

7. Real training camp for more teams and maybe even offseason workout regimes of certain players.

8. Showcase charity work and organzations that are operated to help the community and youth.
