theres no link to this yet, but i heard on fox sports that the nets and bobcats were discussing a trade involving vince carter and jason richardson....most probably some one will be included for salary cap purposes, if it follows through.

J-Rich has HEART. I love that guy so much, no homo.
That would suck for J-Rich to get traded to the Nets though. I like him as a Bobcat right now.

I guess I could see Charlotte doing this if they feel that G-Wall and J-Rich are duplicating one another... I mean you don't have to like Carter but you have to admit that he is one of the best playmakers from the shooting guard position, and quite frankly at least from what I've been able to gather playmaking is what the Bobcats are lacking.
From a Nets standpoint, the Nets just need change... It also helps that J-Rich is better at running the fastbreak.

The deal would save the Nets over $10 million, but it doesn't necessarily make them better. Personally, I hope its not true. I'd rather J-Rich stay on the Bobcats.

I don't see why Charlotte would deal the younger, cheaper JRich for a marginal, at best, upgrade in VC.

J-Rich > Vinsanity.

Eeew. There's no way Charlotte does this. J-Rich has been out of his mind good lately, and Vince has just out of it. MJ loves J-Rich and thinks Vince is a punk. J-Rich is still willing to jump, and rebound, and, you know, play basketball inside the 3pt line.
There's no way.

well, there is that UNC connection haha
Charlotte obviously shouldn't do this, but of they do, they better get some other compensation...

J-Rich is about equal to VC at this point IMHO, but VC is on the decline and J-Rich is getting better and better in CHA.

j-rich sucks for the first half of the season, it was until MJ aka the GOAT talked to him that he started to heat up...if carter gets traded to bobcats, i could see MJ talking to VC and unleashed the beast

Man, if Vince Carter gets traded to the Bobcats he'll eventually want to leave. At least with J-Rich, he'll always put 100% emphasis into trying to make the Bobcats better. The guy carried a losing Warriors team on his back for 6 whole years and gave it all for that team. If the Bobcats never succeed or whatever, J-Rich will let the fans know that he's doing his best to make things happen, instead of just slacking off and saying "f*ck it".

^^I'm pretty sure the players would rather have someone like that instead of Carter.

this doesn't change anything for the Nets..they gain a more efficient scorer, but VC is better at getting to the line, so that isn't a significant difference..Carter **** on Richardson in terms of playmaking ability, which the Nets use a lot, since Carter is their only playmaker outside of Kidd(who obviously isn't as good as previous years)..
even in an off-year, Carter is better..
NJ needs to direct their trade attention elsewhere..

I think Charlotte would do better with V. Carter.
They have a lot of talent but it doesn't fit. V.Carter complements the other Bobcat players really well. He's only 30 and seems to be really healthy. Just his athleticism gives him at least 5 more productive years.
If they do that then sign or trade for pg like Calderon or Ford they'd be a great team.
The alternative is leaving their team the way it is and risking players either leaving in FA or demanding a trade.

I'm a Carter fan, so if he does get traded, hopefully it isn't to a hopeless franchise like Charlotte..

even though Vince seems like he only cares about the $$$..

Aren't there rules about posts like these that don't provide any actual links, quotes or without having any grounding what so ever?

I'd rather have Richardson than Carter... J-Rich has been playing much better since latter December, too.
Leave it alone, please. I wouldn't really get it, and not sure how it would work out.

What are some of you people thinking to trade Jason for Vince it's all pipe dreams that is a stupid trade even if it saves them a little money the NETS will not be any better at all with JR and J Rich.
