Are the Utah Jazz good enough to win the NBA Championship this year?

It's hard to tell right now. They have been up and down. Right now I would say MAYBE, but its very tough to tell who will come out of the west right now. It will be very interesting to see what team picks it up after the all-star break.

They got a really good starting lineup and Korver is a hell of a shooter.

It all depends on defense.

No, Okur is streaky, Brewer is limited offensively and AK is inconsistent... Most importantly, not enough defense/rebounding (their defense has been impressive as of late, but I dont think it will last)

Anything can happen in the NBA, that's what makes it so great. But as far as the Jazz winning the title, I wouldn't hold my breath. They are still very young so in the future you never know, but I just can't see it this year. But like I said, Ya never know

It's possible, if they continue to play like they are currently playing. Though I find it hard to believe that they will continue on their recent pace. The Okur/Boozer front court is always going to be an Achilles heel on defense against top flight front court scoring. Until that changes, I don't see them taking 4 games against San Antonio, Los Angeles, (possibly) Phoenix, Detroit or Boston.

They need Ben Wallace to defend all those bigs out West now.

I can't trust Utah due to their road record, so this needs to change, but they're team is going to produce and has a shot. This is probably only being mentioned since Utah has won 10 straight.

They are on the short list of teams with championship hopes. However, i don't think that they'll make it to the Finals, not w/o a backup PG.....Jason Hart is just a terrible terrible liability off the bench

You could say that about any team, no one really wins in San Antonio, especially in the playoffs, but if you can get homecourt on them, the Jazz would have a shot at it.

They have the talent to do so... but they will need Boozer to play better defense, and same goes with Okur. They basically need to really come together, and play strong team defense, especially on the road. I wouldn't say they are a total real contender, but they are a soft contender if that makes sense.

I think they need a solid interior defensive presence, to alter shots and drives and block shots. Other than that, I like them a lot. Legit, top team, can realistically make it out of R1, and will give just about any team they face a tough series.

Are they good enough to possibly win it? Sure, I would say they are one of 13 teams that have a possibility (top 9 in West, top 4 in East).

Are they good enough to be one of the favorites to win it? No, I would say that is restricted to 6 teams: Boston, Detroit, San Antonio, Phoenix, Dallas and LA.

The Nuggets were the first team to score over 94 or so points in the last 10 games.

Their defense isn't great, we all know that but it is coming together.
