If KG sits out the All-Star game, who takes his starting spot?

Other Forwards along with fan voting numbers:

-Chris Bosh (516,669)
-Paul Pierce (411,231)
-Caron Butler (213,924)
-Antawn Jamison (less than 163,384 which is what the last listed player Josh Smith got)

MINNEAPOLIS - There is a 50-50 chance injured Celtics forward Kevin Garnett will play in the All-Star Game next weekend.

Doc Rivers, coach of the Eastern Conference All-Stars, said yesterday that Garnett would need to play by Wednesday against New York to prove he is healthy enough to play in the All-Star Game a week from tomorrow in New Orleans.

After sitting out last night's 88-86 win over Minnesota, Garnett has missed six straight games with an abdominal strain. Rivers said he doubted Garnett will play tomorrow against San Antonio, but it was possible he could return for "maybe the last two games prior" to All-Star Weekend.

"If he can play, he's going to play," Rivers said about the All-Star Game. "If he's hurt, he's not going to play. Right now, I say it's 50-50."

Said director of basketball operations Danny Ainge: "Kevin is going to be fine. It's just a matter of when."

If you start Bosh you have no center coming off the bench.

I'd probably start Pierce.

Then your second lineup is Bosh, Jamison, Butler, RIP, Billups.

I'd think you'd want either Bosh or Howard in there at all times... maybe not so much together tho.

I think the player who is next in votes should start, so obviously Bosh. The question is who replaces Bosh then?

Does the player have to be a Centre? If not it's gotta be Hedo.

Probably, he's been going off on teams after the All-Stars were announced, and since KG and Caron Butler might miss it due to injuries, Hedo and Ray Allen will probably get the last spots.

Neither KG or Butler are going to miss the game.

You should have just said starting forward, a power forward doesn't have to replace him. Caron Butler should take the spot because he has been amazing this year plus we need some big men off the bench (Bosh and Jamison)

I think Marion should replace Bosh if Bosh ends up starting.

It would be Doc Rivers' decision who starts...

It would be David Stern's decision who replaces him on the 12 man team.

Bosh deserves the start, Marion deserves the call in.

They always say it's about who the fans want to see, Bosh had the most votes after the 5 starters in the East, so he should get the spot. That he's a natural 4 and the most logical back-up to K.G is gravy. It's his spot if K.G doesn't play.

One of Z or Sheed will probably get the replacement at back-up C.

The funniest thing about this KG situation is that he hurt himself with his fugazy dance at the end of that T'Wolves game. Come on KG you're better than that, that ranks among Tony Allen's missed dunk attempt after the whistle as one of the dumbest self-inflicted injuries of all time!
