As much as I love my GM Joe Dumars, the Darko pick was brutal. Yes, we still won a Championship the next year and yes, supposedly every other GM had Darko in the top 3, but unfortunately, we had to be the ones to make the pick. Ouch. Wouldn't mind having Wade, Bosh or Melo. Well, we did turn Darko into a #15 pick which is Rodney Stuckey, so I hope he turns out to eventually be a star.

Dirk for Robert "Tractor" Traylor and Pat Garrity

and

RJ , Jason Collins and Brandon Armstrong for Eddie Griffin.

Dirk for Traylor was a big one.

The Hawks traded Pau Gasol for Shareef Abdur-Rahim...

Shareef was about as good as Gasol is now though.

Jason Collins was a very decent bigman in his first years and key to the Nets succes back then .

Unfortunatly he regressed bigtime very very fast .

Yep, I agree 100%. Hopefully Stuckey can help remove the bad taste from our mouths.

I agree. Say they went with Bosh. This would have made Wallace expendable leading to....

PG - Billups
SG - Hamilton
SF - Prince
PF - Bosh
C - R. Wallace

Still VERY talented. I'm sure Joe would have found a way to pick up Stuckey anyways.

1. Bowie - passing on MJ has to be the biggest blunder ever.
2. Darko - because there were superstar players at 3, 4, and 5.
3. Kwame - horrible...but not as bad because the best you get if you don't draft him is pau/johnson, not wade/melo/bosh.

Sam Bowie over Michael Jordan.

The most infamous draft day blunder in American pro sports history. There is no contest.
